i want to start swimming as an exercise at a YMCA gym but i heard that the water is gross, is that true?? can you recomend other places to go here in LA which has a cleaner indoor pool but for a reasonable price.thanks

I like how everyone is referring to "the Y," as if there is only one. In our Association, there are five YMCAs within a ten sq. mile radius. Three have pools. They are all great pools, with clean water. It depends on which Y you go to. My advice would be to just get a part-time job at a Y pool. Then you get free gym membership to multiple YMCAs, and can make some cash.

Um the YMCA pool is kinda gross but u can try some school pools cuz a lot of them have pools and they r open to the public at certain times

It depends on WHICH YMCA you are referring to. My Y is a great place to swim and has bice clean water and big pools. We also have awesome aquatics programs and staff. Try it and see for yourself!

yes, it is there is a big pool there and i go to the ymca to just swim and they have swimming lessons and free swim its really fun. try it some time
