I don't think its a good idea - I always wanted to see a movie that would incorporate The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager together in one huge final movie for the franchise. I really enjoyed seeing cameos by Admiral Janeway and Wesley Crusher in the last movie ( Nemesis ) and would love to see B4 become Data again ( kind of like Spock coming back in the 3rd film ).

I think that it would be cool to see Picard, Sisco, Janeway, and Riker's crews battling the Borg or that new alien species that they introduced in Nemesis or to see the Kazon somehow getting to Earth ( they would have to have Nelix somehow) and battle us that way.

All I can say is that I did not enjoy Enterprise ( the only episode I really did was the last one with cameo's from Riker and Troi ). I am really glad that Spike tv plays Star Trek : TNG, Deep Space None and Voyager - I really miss these shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Matt Damon needs to find his own Kirk; if he goes with a portrayal that tries to mimic William Shatner's style of delivery; it's just going to seem like a joke, and not in a good way. Obviously, he can't ignore some of the Shatner-isms, or he wouldn't be playing Kirk; it's just a hard balance to find, I would say. “

This scares me. If Shatner could have been a quintessential Kirk it would have run longer than Mash. Read the books and you will find a character that is an eternal hero. Read Shatner’s Kirk and you will find an empty can.

Star Trek is awesome as it gives a complete possible future we hope for. No one goes hungry; everyone is challenged to be there best. Prejudice is based on what you last did. But if you prove your right or change your mind your mind your back in the “in” group.

The stories of Kirk leadership and cunning at the academy where he set new standards of excellence in everything, and how he hated the koboius moru test where he was dammed to failure, and would not accept it, retesting till he almost washed out. Till he beat it, by reprogramming it.

If Damon could really be more him, an if Ben Affleck could play the half breed son of a powerful Vulcan man who was always made to feel like a reject in his own world, who find the acceptance that he had always been denied in Kirk.

I know the fool in charge of the franchise will ignore all of this and add in a Borg somewhere and a War, threat of war okay, War no. Please let real trekies take a part in the previews and it is the power of the possible, the android who was allowed rights that saved the earth, the blind man who saved a world that would have never had blind people.

It is the tower of Babel, if the people would have focused on doing good.

i'm uncertain what the alternative is fairly. each and all of the videos have been extensions of sequence, basicaly a super budget 2 hour episode. i think of TNG has been pushed into the floor, and that i relatively doubt there is any means in a flow featuring the Voyager team. the subject with this actual thought is that Spock and Kirk are o.k. defined characters, especialy interior the non-canon sector. The conflict right this is followers, (people who've lost finished faith in any 'real' Trek being produced with the help of the B&B connection) choose issues to stay real to what they understand. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, famous individual Trek is a corporation and needs to make money; so the franchise is thinking extensive look, consequently why they are utilising 2 very recognizable characters. They desire that those people who're in simple terms casual followers would be intrigued on the same time as playing that those hardcore followers will in simple terms bypass see the movie besides, in spite of the intense propability of being disapointed. Personaly, i don't understand what they ought to do. Voyager variety of screwed the way forward for Trek over for me. It a feeling, i think of Trek has substitute into too intense tech, making it far extra technology /fictional/ than a sensible view of the destiny. in the event that they decide directly to make a clean sequence, i could choose to work out the brakes positioned on each and all of the exploration and new fangle contraptions and come back to a pair tale pushed plots like that of DS9. no longer inevitably on a base, yet a team of folk dealing with issues technologies won't be able to sparkling up. i'm uncertain if that should paintings for a movie until the planned to introduce a clean team and improve them by way of a number of video clips (which isn't a bad thought). Oh properly, we will in simple terms could desire to attend and notice. As for the petition, they are going to do what they choose to do. The fanbase of Trek isn't sufficient to maintain it a pick the flow with the help of itself. Its the non-trekkies the studio is after.
