Natural Quit Smoking Magic

If you have pain in your chest when you smoke that is very helpful in keeping you on track. You may not have that pain, but keep thinking about the pain you do suffer, the coughing in the morning, or whatever. In other words, when you think about cigarettes think about the negative. I did quit cold turkey, but that was the only choice back then. One trick I found very helpful was to make a habit of not buying or carrying cigarettes, and if somehow I did get some throwing them away. (this works with liquor too). Obviously, you need to not be bumming cigarettes either. Think about how cheap and foolish you are to do that. The thing about not buying cigarettes is that the buying is at least a little painful so that is a good place to intervene if you start back up again. Likewise if you have started again and feel disgusted that is a good time to throw them in the stove (I have a wood stove) and then if you want more you would have to buy them. You just set up a steady negative wind... Good luck! You'll be feeling a lot better in just a few months.

medication can be a good thing but the side effects are agonizing. On most prescriptions anyways. But if you really want to quit without cheating. Do it cold turkey and do something else to occupy your mind such as, playing a game, talking to someone, chewing gum, ect..

Each person's genetic make-up is different. What will work for me wont work for you. I suggest you experiement with several options until you find one the works for you.

Ease yourself off of it if you have to, better doing it that way then staying addicted to something thats about 4 inches long and 1/4 inches wide aye?

Hmmmmmm, getting pregnant worked excellently with me, but I'm afraid that would be inapplicable in your case :)
Before I quit I had managed to drastically cut down on cigarettes by changing my favourites with brands I disliked. I had smoked about 1 and a half to 2 packs a day for quite a few years. When I moved on to less desirable cigarettes (I used to like really 'heavy' stuff - lots of nicotine and tar - and moved to 'lights', 'slims' and the like) I managed to keep them 'no more than 3 a day' for a year and a half.
I didn't think that these are less harmful - they might be but I wasn't interested in that, I had figured out a way to satisfy my bad habit but not as often as it no longer gave me the same intensity of pleasure.
And then as I already mentioned I got pregnant and had strong enough motivation not to torture my poor body any more.
Quitting is all very personal - you'd better try different options until you succeed. It's good that you have the motivation - a really good start.
I wish you luck!
