teams usually aren't just listed in the classifieds. a lot of sales result from an interested party approaching the owner independently. for a billion dollars in cash, you could buy probably any team but the redskins (they are worth about $1.3 billion, mostly because daniel snyder also has a bunch of washington media interests). there are several teams worth more than a billion dollars, but the ability to pay that much up front would lower the price. you would have to determine exactly what kind of franchise you wanted to buy, and then look at which ones fit those criteria, and then decide which owners are most likely to sell. most teams are valued at less than a billion, so you could buy pretty much any team if the owners were willing to sell. some owners, like snyder, kraft, allen, and others are more committed and involved than others

I'd look at ones owned by corporations. There are actually a few that aren't owned by family anymore. Maybe look at the Seahawks. I know they are owned by a man but come on it's just a rich man who would likely see a good sale there. I can only think of a few teams I would really call untouchable- Steelers(Rooney family since 1933), Green Bay(owned by the city as far as stock), Raiders(we know Al Davis wouldn't sell them), Bears(Halas family still) and likely the Redskins and Cowboys who's teams are the owner's toy. Maybe there are a few others but I'm going off the top of my head. Heck most teams just get in low and buy up. I'm not sure you could buy one in one sitting but you could probably buy in and prove that you want them and will keep the franchise in place to buy in the rest over time.

most of the teams are handed down to other family members.ufortunately in the past decade alot of the old school owners have past on so maybe the younger owners would be open to sale.especially for a billion $.if you have the money try to buy the bears please.the team is basically in place but ownership sucks.

Yes, you could buy a team, but they would have to be willing to sell. Your best bet would be a team where the owner is frustrated over not making the playoffs for a looong time.

depends on what franchise you are going after. Forget about teams like the Cowboys, Packers, Niners, Bears, Broncos, Colts, Steelers, & Pats. You might be able to get a team like the Browns or Lions though.

i could purchase the Eagles as a results of fact they are my prominent team. i could hearth Andy Reid provided that he won't be able to cope with a clock or call performs to save his existence. i could hire somebody as coach that should actually win a championship with this very proficient team. i could additionally make advantageous that the coach understood that in the time of soccer a balanced offensive play calling is substantial. you won't be able to easily throw the ball on each and every play and you won't be able to use play action in case you never run. provided that 10 billion could provide me way extra advantageous than sufficient to purchase the Eagles i could purchase the Cleveland Browns and rename them the Cleveland Steamers. I have not got any difficulty with the Browns however the seen having a team referred to as the Cleveland Steamers in simple terms makes me chuckle. i could then purchase the Houston Texans and get them a actual offensive line. they have been interior the league for some years now and that's approximately time somebody gave them an offensive line as a results of fact apparently they could't do it for themselves. i could then take countless the money that replaced into nonetheless left over and pay each and each team to no longer permit Eli Manning play for them. I hate this guy. it could additionally make me chuckle while he could no longer be interior the NFL anymore as a results of fact i'm paying each and every team to maintain him out of it. solid luck interior the sector league Eli "the little female" Manning.
