Sunday is the first day of the week generally it is a relaxing day that gets you prepared for the on slaught of monday a low production day....but a chance to do prep work for tuesday and wednesday the most productive days of the week. Then thursday and friday are fix it days so you can relax for the day of rest Saturday. Then the cycle repeats its self until you have days off or vacation.

technically sunday is the first day of the week, but in terms of work, monday is because that's when a new pay period begins.
