Go to Control Panel, Appearance and Themes> Folder Options and see if there is something there to help.

Go to the folder you want to open, then click on it once. At the top of you're page it will say file ,click on it. And then go to where it says open & click on it ,it will open that way. That's what I do when something won't open for me, by double clicking.

have you ever tried restarting your pc? If that did not artwork flow to the activity manager click the strategies tab and then discover the problem contained in the record stated as "explorer.exe" stress stop the exe and then your computer will disappear then make a clean procedure with the call "explorer.exe" then your computer will come again and also you are able to manage to apply folders. wish that helped :-D
