The first tip is believe in yourself you have prepared for this and you know you have the information readily available.
Secondly, read the exam book through quickly so you can gauge how much time you need for each section.
Thirdly answer the questions you know first fill in the blanks and multiple choice are small marks. chose the essay question that needs only a few points to discuss. Then try to answer the toughest questions.
As you read the exam booklet you should find which questions are worth more marks and sometimes it is better to answer the lesser marked questons which could involve 2 essay questions rather than a single essay worth 60% to 70% of the exam.
You know what will be on the exam because you have covered the sections in class and most teachers indicated what will be exam material.
finally, breathe and trust in youself.

Dont worry about fear as the fear itself causes many problems like making u forget the answers. I am also writing my public exams now and it is a well gained experience. U can meditate when u r in the exam hall. Dont try to read anything for the last half an hour before entering the hall. Dont panic after receiving the question paper. The questions are those that u have already read so there is no need to worry. So all the best!

I think this is weird, but it works for me. I buy new things for the exam. Such as erasers, pencils, pencil case...etc. I don't know why but when you see the new stuff neatly arranged on your desk before the exam starts, you feel comfortable, clear and ready. And taking candy the day before (or during the test) helps keep your sugar from dropping too low, and makes your brain start thinking. Gum works also.

Study, study, study.
Preperation is key. If you have studied your butt off and are still stressed, then you may have whats called test anxiety. Your school counselor should be able to help with that.

Be prepared for them so that when you go to them, you can tell yourself that you know the material and so there's no need to be worried about it.

Get a good night's sleep beforehand.

Eat a good breakfast/lunch, whatever.

A few deep breaths.

You'll be fine
