My computer all of a sudden just stopped recognizing my blank CD-Rs. It recognizes blank DVDs but not CDs. I've even tried different brands and nothing. CDs and DVDs that actually have information are fine but just not blank ones. I've done all the updates for the comp and my drivers and still the same thing. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Same thing happened to one of my dvd drives. Would recognize dvd's but not cd's. The drive was just bad. That is probably your problem as well. You could try getting one of those drive cleaning discs or just get a new drive. They are cheap and easy to install.
