It is the Atlantic Ocean but bordering on the Caribbean Sea.

First answer is the closest, but actually the actual piece of water is the Mona Passage that divides the island of Hispaniola ( Haiti + Dominican Republic ) from Puerto Rico. The easternmost point of the DR, Cabo Engano, is the point at which one could say ( it's really a bit arbitrary ) divides the Atlantic from the Caribbean.

Thus my vote would be for Atlantic north of C. Engano, which includes Bavaro.

BTW I live here, and I was standing on that exact beach a few days ago.

Bavaro is on the Caribbean sea.

I believe this is more towards the north side of Dominica if so its the Atlantic sea but if it is towards the south then is the Caribbean sea..
