Personally, I think Eminem is the best lyrist EVER!! Im a really big fan of rap and posted this question to see if anyone thinks the same or has there own fav?

I like Will Smith. He's witty as hell and doesn't need to resort to violence and profanity to be entertaining.

Nasir Jones a.k.a Nas. The conscious lyricist who ain't just rapping about the bling. He's a veteran to the game who talks about real issues on the regular. He successfully merged reggae and rap - Road to Zion feat. Damian Marley.

Lot's of good lyricists out there today. Off the top of my head, Jay-Z, Nas, AZ, and Immortal Technique.

if you are more into like...rock/rap....try Hollywood Undead...they're pretty good...I <3 the song "Knife Called Lust"
