Or "Non-American" either. Aren't Americans drifting to a kind of fascist culture where the critical mind is de facto forbidden, where constitutional liberties are de facto limited to being a good soldier, where the democratic debate is de facto limited to different shades of xenophobic right?
Wasn't America planned to be about the freedom of discussing any "Un-American" idea you see fit, about chosing any "Un-American" way of life you see fit, without harming the "Un-American" expression and choices of others?

Our culture isn't drifting toward fascism; it's going far in the other direction imho. The term "Un-American" is totally acceptable. It's your 1st amendment right to say whever you please, and that right isn't going anywhere. We can be glad for that.

As human beings we're both world citizens and American citizens. We should be concerned for the welfare of both. Freedom of ideas and speech is good, but one should also have consideration and respect for reality, especially in a social context of discussion, because for the most part people don't have time for cerebral discussions.

Yes, or it should be - the market place of ideas is the only way we can improve things. Unfortunately the right uses things like it's "PC" argument to snipe hunt from a duck blind. It's nothing more than a bogus victim mentality where the poor cons are oppressed by the left.

I completely agree with what your saying, but i guess its is a right to say "unamerican," too...to me, unamerican is people not realizing that this country was established for freedom-of speech, of belief, of assembly, of ideas, etc... only those who think "american" means one certain thing are "unamerican."
