I'm trying to look for some new bands to listen to. I looking for an upbeat hard rock band. Anybody know of any?

Go out and buy Muse's album "Absolution", Say Anything's album "...Is A Real Boy" and CKY's album "Infiltrate, Destroy, Rebuild" and you won't be disappointed. These are three newer hard rock bands that are keeping REAL rock and roll alive. Heavy guitars with a REAL vocal melody. (no screamo ****) These three bands are just a sample of what is to come from the future of real rock and roll which has been building slowly for a number of years. SO MANY rock and roll musicians who have been pushed away for years by the mainstream are sick and ******* TIRED of being ignored. I am one of those musicians and I am dedicating my life to keeping this kind of music alive and it is my pleasure to share with you this music. Let me know what you think.

I think your looking for power pop/rock.
bands like hellogoodbye are powerpop and really good and fun.
when i hear hard rock i think of three days grace.
