Santana by all means is way better than Clapton but then Clapton is really good at acoustic. Santana all the way though.

Tough question.
I'm partial to Clapton, myself, but I think it's really a matter of taste at that level of talent.
But did you know that Journey guitarist Neil Schon was offered spots playing backup guitar for both Clapton AND Santana when he was only sixteen years old? He decided to play with Carlos because he grooved more on what Carlos was playing, and because he wanted to stay in the San Francisco area.

I must say Eric Clapton! In my opinion, he is the best guitarist of all time! I saw him in concert and it was out of this world! They had big screens and you could actually see his hands and fingers playing and the way he handles a guitar is phenominal! He does it with such style and ease! He is unbelieveable!
