Can you really prevent wrinkles by having a better routine when younger? (like night creams and stuff)

Good skin care when you are younger WILL help prevent premature wrinkling. Sun is the number one cause of wrinkles and sun damage. When in the sun, use a good sun screen to protect yourself. Stay out of the sun completely during the hours of 10am to 2pm, this is when the sun is the hottest and the most potent.
Remove your make-up nightly because your skin needs to replenish itself at night. If you have stuff on your face at night your face cannot absorb the oxygen it needs to stay fresh and pretty.

Facials are highly beneficial to a good skin care regime. Going to a beauty school is a good way to go if funds are low. Facials improve blood flow, improve elasticity, & helps keep pores clear.

Avoid harsh products that overly burn or cause trauma. Benzoyle peroxide is used in many acne products (Proactive, Clearasil). It will stop acne, but it also causes cell damage which leads to premature wrinkles. Products with salicilic acid and or glycolic acid are great for your skin. It helps keep good clarity, helps clears out pores, promotes collagen growth (prevents wrinkling).

Yes. I began wearing anti-aging lotion with Retin A and Alpha Hydrox at the age of 25.

Since the sun is the primary cause of wrinkles, I've avoided it like the plague over the years. Sunscreen can be messy but they are coming out with less greasy formulas. The higher the SPF the higher the protection.

I'm almost 40 now and have no wrinkles around my mouth and very slight ones are starting to show near my eyes. People tell me all the time I definately look much younger. A few times a week I still use some sort of anti-aging lotion before bed.

Unfortunately, your body does age even if you stay in shape and wear anti-wrinkle cream. I think not *trying* to look my age OR younger and just being myself and young at heart really does go a long way. Being happy gives you a nice glow. :)

Wrinkles will be on your face. I think it is the natural process of you becoming older than you once were. I do think some skin care when you are young can hydrate the skin for your future looks. I never ever met anyone with no wrinkles without a surgical procedure such as a face lift. Myself I am not for sure if I would want not to have any wrinkles at all on my face. I think having wrinkles are for some purpose.

Yes. However, what makes the biggest difference is not smoking, not doing drugs, not drinking too often, and not tanning.
My mom is a dermatologist, and she was always on my case when I was younger, but I'm really grateful now. I'm going to be 34 this year, and I don't have a single sign of a wrinkle.
My mom is going to be 59, ans her skin looks amazing, without using botox, or chemical pills.

YES MA'AM! It totally can. Your skin ages with you, just like the rest of your body, so the better you take care of it now, the better it will be, and the longer it will last, and it'll help make your skin stay nice longer. Moisturize every day, always wash your face at night, never go out without sunscreen, take vitamin e, and drink 8 glasses of water daily. It'll keep wrinkles and blemishes down, and keep your skin firmer longer. Oh. and don't smoke.

and wrinkles serve no purpose... it's just because your skin looses collagen and starts to sag.
