I think a lot of people understand it's fake. Most people, in fact. FYI: WWF was NEVER real.

Yes, the outcome of the match is "fake" as you put it, but the actual wrestling? While the two (or more) people in the ring try not to hurt each other too badly, the fact is, some of the moves are in fact legitimately painful and/or dangerous.
For example, the figure four for real hurts, and bad. Stresses the ankle, the knees, the hips, AND the lower back. So does a Sharpshooter (which is an offshoot of the Figure four).
Another example. The piledriver. Ask Steve Austin how real that move is. Or the guy Triple H pedigreed (the old pedigree, not the new and tamer version of it) onto the top of his noggin, damn near killing him.
I can name probably five or more moves that are inherintly dangerous, if not done expertly. DDT, piledriver, pedigree, super kick (yes, super kick. miss, and the victim could oncieveably break a jaw or even a neck via whiplash), sleeper (yes, even a sleeper. Could cut flow of the carotid if not done right), hurricanranna, power bomb (probably the single most dangerous move), and brainbuster.
Wrestling STORIES are fake, the moves and athleticism is not. And that's the bottom line, cuz Minizilla said so.

when i was a child growing up,I did believe wrestling was real at that time. I wasn`t stupid I just believed in wrestling. Over the years of growing up I did come to realize that wrestling isn`t what i`d call fake but scripted. years later I`m still watching wrestling but I watch it for the entertainment value now.

Dude.. We do understand that. Part of me agrees with you because some people take wrestling like to a whole new level, they are so obsessed about it! It's alright if they talk about what happened but if they are going to cry and stuff because someone got hurt and fake blood is spraying out of their bodies, then it's just too far.

Ok wrestling is NOT fake. It is SCRIPTED. If it were fake there would be no injuries or blood. (even though the wrestlers don't bleed from the weapon shots, they bleed after they cut their heads with blades to make themselves bleed)

Ummm... asshole, some WWE wrestlers actually it their opponents and you just stated three of the ones that do. Everyone knows that wrestling is scripted but does that ruin anyone's mood about it, only the stupid pricks that wanna make fun of the people that watch it.
That is why it is called SPORTS-ENTERTAINMENT alongside wrestling.
Oh and to the guy above me, not all shows are scripted. UFC is all fight and all muscle.

Yes... and it has always been fake, so if you thought it was real 20 years ago, then you are mistaken. Its no different than any other TV show you watch. Its all scripted, but its entertainment. I would rather watch wrestling then watch one of those stupid reality tv shows or another show like Friends ( Thank god that is finally off the air) or a stupid soap opera like the OC.

I know its fake but still it entertains u ...if u think its juss get the hell out of the wrestling section coz dis section is only bout WWE, TNA(sucks), ROH, etc
