ok...here's the problem. My parents have been in this marriage for 17 years. But now, I am really concerned for my parents. I know that the main reason that they are in the marriage is because of me. I recently found some secrets of my father and it really hurt me on the inside. But my mother doesn't know it...yet..

So my question is.....Do i keep this secret at the bottom of my heart? Or should i confront my father?

HELP?!?!

wow..it sounds like you're in a really hard situation, and I'm sorry about that. I honestly wouldn't know what to do unless I was in the situation, but from my perspective I would say you should confront your father. Basing a relationship on something that is fake can only do harm, but if the truth is brought out and confronted...it may hurt...but without hurt there can't be healing. Let your parents know how you're feeling and tell them how much they both mean to you. Maybe create a special night for your family and look at old pictures and talk about old times and help your parents remember how much they mean to each other. A positive relationship takes time and effort, and although effort can be the hardest, bravest thing, I think it will really help. Good luck..you're in my prayers!

It isn't good keeping things inside it will eat you up .Confront your dad and let him no how you feel about what he is doing and how it makes you feel .Some people are going to tell you to stay out of it because it's none of your business.Don't let anyone tell you to stay out of it.What he is doing very much affects you . He is your dad but that doesn't give him the right to hurt the family.Maybe he needs a wake up call and by you confronting him just might make him see what he he doing is wrong and will hurt a lot of people who love him. Good luck!

There isn't anything you could hide from a women specially after seventeen years of marriage, what ever it is am sure she already knows she just wants to keep it for herself, talk to your mom and see if she wants you to confront your dad.
