but last week i had what i thought was a period. However it was lighter than usual and i had no pain. Could this be a false pregnancy or do you think i could be miscarring. Am very scared as i have miscarried three times already. Please reply!

wait one or two days and retest again in the morning (first urine) (i actually did 6 test because i thought i was tripping. i had what i thought was a weirdly light period and then... my husband looked at me and told me i was pregnant.. so curiousity got the best of me... i tested... for once in his life.... he was right!)

if you get the 2 lines again get a dr apt ASAP! the bleeding you could have had may have been inplantation bleeding from the egg latching to the urteus.

if you are that concerned (and i see you are) one option would be to go to the emergency room or urgent care. tell them you ARE pregnant and that you were bleeding. (dont tell them about testing or that you think you might be... i lied to make sure this pregnacy got the attention it needed... and it worked) this will prompt them to do a U/S and blood test right then... it will also get you a DR apt within 3-4 days instead of 1-2 weeks. i did this with this preg because i have had over 6 miscarriages and i was not taking any risk.

it got me labled high risk sooner and into a doctor faster before anything could happen or go wrong. i was also placed on progesterone to help the baby strive until the placenta could take over at 13 weeks

good luck!

It is not uncommon for the second line to be fainter in a pregnancy test. If your pregnancy test is AFTER your "faux period" then yes you are pregnant, congrats! Two tests are conculsive 99.9% of the time. You should go to the doctor to recieve medical attention and absolute confirmation. Concerning the light bleeding, that is something you should talk to the doctor about, but it is possible (especially if you've been sexually active in the past week) that you became pregnant directly after OR even during your period. Good luck and congrats again!

From my knowledge, a miscarriage that is mistaken for a period is usually heavier and I'm sure there would be some intense cramping involved. I reckon that you are pregnant because even though it is possible to get a false negative, I think that false positives are not usual. Try to relax and enjoy the idea that you are pregnant and think of each pregnancy as unique - try not to dwell on your past miscarriages. I would suggest visiting your GP asap especially in light of your previous miscarriages as he/she may have some advice for you to help put yourself at ease. I wish you all the best with this pregnancy and hope it all goes well for you - good luck! ... oh, and congratulations!

What you experienced last week was most likely implantation bleeding. With some women, when the embryo implants into the uterine wall it can cause some bleeding. Some women mistake this for an early period (I DID!). As they say in TTC communities...a line is a line. I would call your Doctor on monday and ask for blood work. They should do a beta-HCG(quantitative) and then do a second one 2 days later, making sure the numbers are doubling. Congrats...sounds to me like you're pregnant!

maybe you had implantation bleeding? I have heard of that. Was your bleeding after the positive tests... if so I would go to the doctor now. If it was before and you have had no bleeding since your 'period' and you now have positives.. you are fine I would think. Faint line and storng one.. youare pregnant, the hormone is there, just one picked it up stonger then the other

I suggest you visit your OB-GYN specialist to have it checked. It is always the safest thing to do. Though the pregnancy test kits are 99% accurate, a blood test better confirms if you are pregnant or not. If you are positive, congratulations! Your OB-GYN would be very glad to give you prenatal vitamins and medications. If negative, she could also give you pieces of advice on how to make your pregnancy plans a success.

Two lines means pregnant (even if one is faint). You may have had implantation bleeding last week.
