No i don't think they should retire either, because they were to young, the obviously should respect them, like before there home games, they should give d. Williams and d. Nash a moment of silence. And they should also have there jerseys hung up in the locker room or on the field some were, but not retired.

It isn't likely and it really isn't neccessary. I don't think they will assign them this year, unless they have no choice, but you only have so many numbers so they are rarely retired. This isn't a good reason to retire a number. Williams hadn't played long enough, in my opinion, to get his number retired. It was THREE years. Now had it been like 13, you know 10 more years, then I think he would have had a chance. Depends if he was still as good through his whole career or not. Had he been then yeah I think after 13 years it probably would have been based on how things happeend. Just because they die or are killed though doesn't get a number retired, that only happened that one time with the Vikings because the player, Stringer, DIED AT PRACTICE and it was basically the team's fault. They were pushing players too hard considering the heat. So in memory of their mistake they retired his number.

Maybe, then again maybe not. I'll tell you this though, the equipment manager for the Broncos won't be assigning those numbers anytime soon if ever. Personally I would view it as a sad reminder of how those numbers got retired & would rather see the Broncos just not assign those numbers to anyone for a very long time.

They should retire William's jersey. He might of been young but he actually played a lot. It doesn't matter how long he played because pat williams on the cardinals died when he went to iraq after only a couple more than he did.

Neither will get their number retired. Neither made enough of an impact on the game. Sure, they died under sad circumstances, but that does not equate to accomplishments on the field, which is the criteria considered for retirement.

with all do respect They did not play long enough. Williams a great player with his short time and nash was ok. There are not enough jerseys to just retire everone who is good or has passed away.

just for respect for the dead, i personally think they should be retired, they were not great players, sure, but if you were them, wouldnt you want someone to honor you for the few accomplishments you had?
