I would get my bag ready four weeks before my due date. You never know what can happen. Instead of having my bag in the way, I but it in the car that way I already knew it was there. That was one less thing to worry when your going into labor. Good luck :)

Thank goodness someone else asked this! I was sitting here (at 35 weeks) wondering if I'm a total procrastinator or what! There's things I plan on taking with me to the hospital that I use every day, so it's hard to know when to pack my bag with the rest of the stuff. I was thinking of just buying sample bottles of shampoo and conditioner and all that stuff so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Maybe that's what I'll do. Well anyhow, my answer would be around 35-36 weeks. Good luck!

I got antsy and packed by the time I was around 30 weeks. (8 weeks before the actual delivery...ha)
I'd guess 35 weeks would be far more sane. :)
I also wound up packing way more crap than I actually needed. All the time-wasters, such as playing cards and magazines, never made it out of the bag because I had too many visitors to get bored.

I'd say at 38 weeks because anytime from then onwards is considered "due". Good advice however with all 3 of my babies I was packing my bags during labour. I really enjoyed it too as it gave me a focus for a while. Of course my boyfriend was just freaking out though 'cause I was just too relaxed - that happens!

As I recall, you should have your bags packed 4-6 weeks before your due date. Take care.

I just have my bag sitting open in the hallway, alot of it is stuff i use everyday, so i basically live out of it, I finished packing 3 days ago. Im 40w 1d, just waiting to take my bag somewhere...good luck

I packed them 1 month in advance. Don't forget the birth announcements and addresses. It will give you something to do while the little one sleeps . Good Luck!

I'm not sure it matters... I packed mine a few weeks before my due date. My sister packed hers the first day she learned she was pregnant... *LOL* Whatever feels right to you is fine. Nobody's watching..

34 weeks. Because realistically you won't get it done for a week or two and by then you will be in the "SAFE ZONE" to have your baby.
If you are not a procrastinator--36 weeks.
