I am picking my husband up from the airport in 1 week. He is coming back from Iraq for R&R and I haven't seen him in 5 months. I will get a security pass to wait for him at the gate. I am pretty sure I will be bursting out in tears the whole day...happy tears of course. Even if I try to fight it, I know the second I see him I will burst out into tears! I love him so much and I have missed him terribly. Tears are rolling down my face as I type.
I don't really care what people think, but I am curious as to what your reaction would be if you saw a girl like me in the airport, crying, and then running up to her husband and jumping into his arms.
I personally, would start crying, even if they were strangers! I guess this isn't really a question, just want people's opinions and thoughts. Thank you! :)

I am just a real emotional person. I will probably cry when I am talking to the ticket agent at the counter. I know once I see him it will be like we are the only two people in the airport. :)

Why would you care what other people think? If you really love your husband and it sounds as though you do, it is natural when separated from a loved one, especially due to war, there is joy when reunited. I am not sure how old you are, but to ask this type of question, makes me think you may be very young.
Never worry what others think of you when it comes to showing loving caring emotions for someone you care about....you would need to worry more if he came home from Iraq and you greeted him with your new lover! THEN worry about others' reactions. It's not like you're the first woman to show emotion when seeing her husband home safe after war.....this has been ongoing for hundreds of years.....you worry way too much and care what others think of you way too much.....maybe if you thought about how he will feel when he sees you....then you wont worry about strangers!

I remember back when Regan became the prez and all those american hostages were released from Iran. When they came back to the USA, there was a crowd of family and friends waiting on the tarmac for them. They were kept in one area by some rope barriers. As the plane taxied in the tv cameras were picking out various people in the crowd as their anticipation grew. The plane opened it's doors and the passengers were filing out. The cameras focused in on one young wife as she spotted her husband. She was just jumping up and down with excitment.
As the passengers cleared the fence and started to walk past the crowd. That young wife burst through the crowd and jumped the rope barrier and with her arms out ran to her husband crying her eyes out. Who in America, had a dry eye after watching that? Not me! I imagine a few Iranians spilled a few tears too. My dear, when you see your hubby, just let'r rip We all would happily mop the floors behind you. God bless

Why should you care what people think, if it was me I would do exactly what your going to do. I would be in my own little world and wouldn't see anything or anybody around me but the man I love. I think it makes people feel good inside when they see people at the airport so in love and showing it.W hen I see my husband off at the airport we kiss and say good- bye in front of who ever is there I really don't care what they think.

My family cried when I left and came back from the military. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
But don't get all teary and emotional just to get attention. Just be natural and appreciate that your man is coming back at all.

Well if I saw someone doing that I probably wouldn't cry. Besides it's none of anyone eles's business? not sure why your asking the questions are you self concious or something?
If it's sincere then just do what your heart says.
