Im a huge fan of the Doors and just wanted to know your take on him...

He wrote some strange stuff. And personally, he was a bit perverted to say the least. And he's a bit dead.

i love jim morrison! i am an absolute fan of the doors i own all their albums and know all their songs by heart! my favorites are:
riders on the storm
light my fire
love me two times
people are strange
peace frog
break on through
not to touch the earth
and i could go on and on and on cuz they're all great! jim morrison was such an incredible man and a real legend! i wish i had known him or at least his time cuz i'm passioned by the 60s and the style with the hippies and all... nothing to do with the cr*py music going on today! britney spears, simple plan, 50 cent, ... - are you kidding me? jim morrison had something more than just an obvious gift for music, he was a poet and a revolutionary! and you can see how it's natural and carved in him... have you seen his improvised show backstage with the other memeber of the band? here is the video if you haven't it's AMAZING! :

it's great to meet a the doors fan, i feel alone and misplaced in history! haha... most of my friends think their music is depressing and slow and annoying and that jim morrison set an extremely bad example for the world with the drugs and everything but he was like that! he wouldn't have been the same and as inspired without the side effects... rest in peace jim morrison and every fan of jim morrison out there, hail to the lizard king! ;]

I love the music of the Doors and think Jim Morrison was a musical genius who died much too early. I try to catch any A&E documentaries or VH1 "behind the music" or any other shows about him/them whenever they are on. I also enjoyed the movie with Val Kilmer as JM, thinking he did very well with the part. Quite big shoes to fill.
