Jacksonville. He will count too much against the salary cap to cut him and no team wants to pick him up at his current salary. Some bad times are ahead for Jacksonville fans as Leftwich and Del Rio do not get along and there appears to be something brewing in the locker room. There is no reason for Smith to retire out the blue just before training camp last season, Fred Taylor to complain about contracts and the coaching staff and then sign an extension, Leftwich to argue publicly with the coach over his ankle injury, and the high draft pick receivers to struggle the past 2 seasons. I say that the players are revolting and with the extension of Taylor, it looks like management is listening to the players.

next year Byron Leftwich will be the starter for the jaguars.

I think that the Jaguars have said that they plan on keeping him as their starting QB next year. They're not really in a position to be starting anybody else next year other than Gerrard, the FA market is weak and their most realistic draft option would be Drew Stanton in the second.

Oakland. Oakland needs a qb and if the raiders plan on drafting Russell, he could learn from a simialar qb (leftwitch) for at least most of this season
