Nations that are promoting Holocaust denial (like Iran) are dangerous to the peace of the world.

Good Luck!!!

World leaders have forgotten the lessen of the Holocaust. Chamberlain spent so much time trying to talk with and appease Hitler it gave him time to build his Army, and proclaim,
"Today Poland, tomorrow the world!". The President of Iran has proclaimed that Israel should be blown off the face of the map. He's busy trying his best to enrich enough Uranium to build a nuclear bomb. Most of the European countries are twiddling their thumbs and ignoring the imminent threat Iran poses to the world. The other countries like Russia and China actually think they can trust Iran and make a deal with them. As soon as Iran has a nuclear bomb Israel will disappear in a fifteen second white flash. It will be an instant second Holocaust on a much higher scale. "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it."

That the forced subjugation and oppression of a group of people can have devastating consequences
- In the case of the Holocaust the oppression of people resulted in death and torture. Things can escalate quickly. To oppress any group of people can have poor consequences. Leaders should fight all forms of oppression.

That people can be disillusioned easily, even in masses
- Tons of people followed Hitler as a leader. Just because a majority of people think something is right doesn't make it so. We need to act in the greater good of the people. Leaders need to make decisions that are going to help people, heal people, be for the greater good

That education is important for healing
- People today deny the Holocaust. They say we should forget about and get over it, etc... But we know that educating people about the effects of the Holocaust is important for healing of people who went through it and nations. Nations need to know what happened so they can make sure it doesn't happen and so they can learn to heal. We need cultural education so that one group of people isn't put down. If we can understand the past and understand each others cultures then we can prevent such atrocities. Leaders need to fight for education.

That trauma has intergenerational effects
- We now know that descendants of people who were in the Holocaust also have mental health issues. Trauma can be passed down generation to generation. If oppression and racism still exist it makes this trauma worse. Leaders need to fight against racism and trauma. They need to take steps to heal the past so the trauma doesn't keep getting passed down among generations.

Those were just some I thought of off the top of my head. Hope it helps!

EDIT: I want to ditto another user too. Genocide and attempted Genocide occurred after the Holocaust and may be occurring as we speak.

We have had lots of other genocide after Holocaust, why not talk about those? It is abviouse that we learned nothing. It takes about 1 million people to be killed before the top nations react.

Rwanda Genocide 1994 (over 800,000 people killed)
Serbian Genocide 1992 (over 100,000 people killed)
