No, being an actor doesn't require a degree, although it might be helpful to have a degree in something as a back-up, considering most people who want to be professional actors don't make it big.

No, you don't "need" a degree -- nobody is ever going to ask to see your diploma at an audition -- but you do need training, and sometimes those two things go hand in hand.
If you don't think you'll thrive in a college environment, then get your training somewhere else. But, do yourself a favor, and don't become one of those wannabe actors (there are about a billion of them here in Los Angeles) who think their natural abilities will carry them to fame and stardom. It isn't that easy.

Please go through some sort of enriching, enlightening program whether you graduate or not. I am so tired of seeing air headed, self consumed, no talent celebrities.
I would say that traveling and experiencing world cultures and other country's ways and landscapes would help with becoming more aware as a person PLUS give you material when you are playing different characters.Community services jobs are good for life experience too.

You don't necessarily need a degree, but being educated helps as a person and artist. You must have some type of acting technique and SPEECH training, regardless of what some people may tell you.

No you don't need a degree, nor do you really need any talent. You just need to know someone.. It helps quite a bit if you are born into the right family (think Paris Hilton)

No, you needn't go to college. History is replete with child actors, but them apart, you needn't to to college.

No. It's all about who you know. Noone cares about when you were in high school. They just care about if you can act or not.
