In a woman,
The top 5 things I look for are:
1. Sense of humour - if there's one thing I know about girls, it's that a lot of them really aren't as funny as they try to be. So when I find a woman who has a wonderful sense of humour, it's like I've hit the jackpot.
2. Style - I'm more of the guy who prefers classy over trashy. I prefer ladies with good style (in my opinion, the "scene" style is great, or the girls that you'd find at a cafe). I can't stand to be with someone who has clashing patterns or styles from last year.
3. Taste In Music - This is important. It has to be good music. In my opinion, alternative, electronica, and screamo are the top 3 in the music category. If she listens to anything else, that's okay, just she shouldn't listen to it too much around me. That'd create quite a problem.
4. Intelligence - Who wants to talk to a pretty brick all day? She has to be smart, witty, and intelligent.
5. Body Type - Let's face it. I don't want to be seen with someone who's too fat, too short, too skinny, too tall...anything that is just unappealing. This is the real world, and all that "What's On the Inside Counts" crap is...crap. No one cares anymore. Look attractive, and you're set for life.
I know I set my standards pretty high, but come on, I know what I like. =)

Intelligence--holds her own in intellectual conversations, instead of just "uh, huh" or "wow youre smart..."[blanks out]
creativity--can come up with things i cant, is interesting
humor-makes me laugh, has a humor that i can work off of--things like wit, sarcasm, just the ability to joke
loving--doesn't see things as a part in HER universe, but she is a part of THE universe--spirituality is a big one...
beauty--but thats not something that has a definite form, itshow your attributes work together...but all of the above usually will make you beautiful, so as far a looks go, they come out of everything else...
