Well, if you're going to 'get him', he's going to have to realize at some point that you like him.
There's a difference between appearing interested and appearing desperate/obsessed. When you appear interested, it is possible for the other party to gently decline advanced, and you will be able to gracefully say "That's cool." Interested is not a bad thing. It's when you're overly invested in someone, there is an entirely different vibe and I think that's what you're afraid of.
Being genuinely interested in someone is flattering, desperately searching for approval from someone is not. As long as you're casual, respectful, and reasonably sane about displaying your interest, there's no reason you shouldn't. Trying to play it close to your chest and acting aloof and as though you don't "like him" usually ends up in nothing happening; men are notoriously unsubtle creatures, and if you don't display some interest, 90% of the time they won't pursue you!

You cant. And what's so wrong with him knowing? If he knows you are hot for him he will pay you more attention!! There are a lot of gals out there!!!!!!!! Be noticed. Be forward. Men love it!!!!!

HELLO, if you want him, you have to give him some idea that you like him, otherwise, he may think you don't, and will soon be with someone that did show him she liked him.

Kind of hard to "get" him if you don't want him to know about it...If you "get" him, I think he's going to notice...
