No. They are only characters of Irish mythological folklore

They usually take the form of old men who enjoy partaking in mischief. Their trade is that of a cobbler or shoemaker. They are said to be very rich, having many treasure crocks buried during war-time.[1] According to legend, if anyone keeps an eye fixed upon one, he cannot escape, but the moment the eye is withdrawn he vanishes.

Yes they are. My family has made our fortune for over 55 years by robbing them of their gold. They are mysterious little things, those leprechauns. But once you still their gold, you will be feuding with them for years, at least we have. My kids will have their hands full for years to come.

No they are not and if you have ever seen the Leprechaun movies made some years back, you would be very thankful that they aren't real.

Of course they be real, me dearie!...Ask any Irish man, woman or child......If you believe in them they are real......
and since all mythology has some basis in fact.. tho...you may have to reasearch a wee(ok a lot..lol) bit to find the fact it orginally came from...giggle....As someone else has already said there is no proof either way so....we come back to... do you believe?....
