How do get the free stuff that is offered by these sites? They are legally bound to have whatever they are claiming is free, so there must be a way to get it. Has anyone been successful in this, and if so how do you do it?

This site explains the concepts and tells you what you need to do to get the free item.

If you're careful it's not going to cost a penny, so go for it, there's nothing to loose.

Basically it works like an advertiser on a TV game show. Let's say Samsung wants to sell a product so it hires Agent A to help promote the product. In return for it's help, Samsung gives Agent A a fee for every customer that Agent A refers who ends up buying a product from Samsung. To make money, Agent A needs to find people and direct them to Samsung's site so they'll buy something (Notice how all the links have some sort of referral?). How does Agent A do it? By promising to give away free stuff, in this case, a video game console. So, someone signs up. Agent A tells them to visit all these sites, and they much make at least 1 purchase from one of the sponsors. Of course, 1 purchase isn't going to mean anything, so Agent A tells the customer that he needs to get 10 of his friends to buy something. So, after all 10 friends buy something, Agent A gives the customer his free video game console. The thing is, it's not really free because you had to spend money, and you had to get your friends to spend money before you got anything free.

We have tried just about all of them. What you do is sign up for a million advertised free samples and e-mails ( which we direct to a separate junk email account) but you end up giving out a ton of personal information like your address and stuff. Then you will just get to a point where there is no where else to click on the page to continue towards claiming your laptop or xbox.... It's like you reach a dead end.

I have also tried these scams before, they get you nowhere fast. What they have you do is sign up for "free" offers where you have to give your credit card info and you will have to pay money to receive the xbox or laptop. If it sounds too good to be true unfortunately it probably is. That's the rule of thumb I use when regarding free merchandise.
