Library...sports outside...park...movies at home.
Spending time with them doing anything is all they need, I promise.
Work on things together around the house, kids like that.

Take them to a huge park for an hour or two. The mall to look at the animals at the pet store and stuff. Get some kiddo flicks and sit down with them for some a spell. Just play around with them. My children are a little younger than yours but I have so much fun just acting a fool and running around the house with them. Look up community events and see whats going on. Take them on a tour to a fire station. there is plenty to do, you just have to be creative is all. Good luck and always keep trying to be a great parent.

Take them to the park
If you have snow, play in the snow and make snow angels
Take a walk though the forest, and look for interesting leaves, or rocks to take home
Play Monopoly, or another type of boardgame that they might like
Play hide & seek
Have a movie day, and watch movies you already own
Paint or draw pictures
Bake cookies
Tell your kids to go into the kitchen, and each pick out 5 random ingredients or items of food, and mix them all together to make your own recipe

are you kidding.....
OK you have like a BUNCH OK places there that are like Parks have them make there own kites or buy cheap ones, get a ball got to the park get them a cheap disposable camera. take pictures. the really good ones enter in the local fair this Summer or fall. take them to the outdoor concerts. let them walk barefooted the waters edge. pack a picnic lunch and go on a adventure, get some bread at the day old bakery and feed the birds. get some small rocks and let them make pet rocks. there are a hundred things you can buy at the dollar store. have them make cards for the kids in the local Children's hospital or have them work in a homeless shelter or a animal shelter. get old stuff from a friend or neighbor and have them paint it and give it to a elderly neighbor. buy a cheap pack of seeds let them plant it from seeds and have them be responsible for caring for it and giving it to a Alzheimer facility THAT is true spirit of giving cause the people that they give to will not remember who gave it but will see the beauty it brings them and smiles as well. Start a garden, take them to the library.((FREE)). Go to www.Nepoets.com and have them get a virtual pet (((Free))) for that. have tehm start there own scrap book with real scrap stuff from around the home. or from the dollar store ((((((becareful with this one it is addicting and can be spendy if you let it get out of control)))))

Go to your local super market or department store and pick up a bunch of big cardboard boxes, they usually just throw them out anyway.
the kids could make forts color them turn them into robots what ever their imagination can think of.
besides as most people notice kids usually enjoy the box something comes in more then the gift so imagine a bunch of huge boxes.

Take them camping... Equiptment has a lot of up front costs (tent, sleeping bags, flashlights, etc) but after that...its dirt cheap. But your up in WA, so it might be alittle cold to that this weekend...have you considered taking them sledding or cross country skiiing...is there still snow on the ground there? (Sorry, I am in Oklahoma)

Take them for a walk, or go to the park, ride bikes, go for a hike
take a drive or just take a lunch and go have a picnic somewhere.
Take them on a scavenger hunt or play basketball, ball hockey or just watch a movie.

Let's ask ourselves: What can they do to make me more money. Here is a list things:
Bake sale
car washes
face painting
sell Mary Kay products
shovel snow
mow lawns
sheet rock a house
etc.
Just make sure you get the money from them before thy spend it on gum drops and trinkets.

Spend time with them, anywhere it don't cost money. Or just stay home with them, and play games, or watch movies together. Sometimes you will find its more important to them, just to be with you, no matter where you are.
