I belive that if the nuggets got two guys on the trading block in the offseasion they could go all the way next year. Jason Kidd and Pau Gasol. J.R. smith is good, but w/ k-mart, we could get kidd, and trading a draft pick along w/nene and najera could get us Pau. here would be the starting lineup...
C M. Camby- 2nd best d-player in league
PF P. Gasol-low post scoring
SF Melo-30 a game guaranted
SG A.I.-Penetration and also 30 a game
PG J. Kidd-Playmaker

if not pau, then maybe a guy like emeka okafor who is not happy, and can bring more shot blocking, rebounding, and low post scoring

that's pretty impossible.. to obtain Gasol u need to give more offer than nene and najera.. didn't u hear.. what the memphis demanded from the bulls.. at least two star players, an expiring plus draft picks... pretty hard.. and as for Kidd.. there's this possibility in getting Kidd.. but the problem is will he be able to play his game.. will he still be athletic as now.. remember he's 34...
but if by one out of a million chance... to obtain this lineup.. and if they were a able to play and gel as a team.. it would be terrific.. splendid team.. what everyone would look up to.. esp. melo leading the way...

Somehow I think you are dreaming. Don't get me wrong, I also like the Nuggets but they will not get a championship this season nor next one. I still cannot see how AI and Melo gel together and certainly it will not be in the next season. Camby is good if healthy but he missed 9 games this season and more than 10 games getting very little rebounds or points. He is a great shot blocker still. Kidd is my favourite player but I cannot see how they can get Kidd at all without losing Melo or AI. Also Kidd is getting old and to have chemistry within the team it will take a couple of years. Gasol will not be traded with only Nene and Najera. Even if I assume the Nuggets got both Kidd and Gasol without losing the players mentioned, what about the bench??? The Nugget needs to lose Martin's contract before they can talk about getting someone like Kidd or Gasol and neither Nets nor Griz will take that risk!

Any time you can add Jason Kidd to your roster, your headed in the right direction. But the Nuggets don't have the guns to handle the elite of the NBA. Chris Webber going to Detroit to fill the spot Ben Wallace vacated opened some eyes, the Pistons have a legit shot at another Championship this year.

The team can't gel now without those extra shooters. How would they get any better with them? What they need is better role players and time. Maybe next year fella.
