No.The words Global and Universal stands are a sort of different meanings.

GLOBAL=stand for the representation of the Earth.eg.A global company .It means that the company is trading or servicing or the company is an international company.

UNIVERSAL=also means the representation of the earth. But the universal has higher respect than global

Global: This word is used in respect to an environment. The environment can be different in different contexts; for e.g Global with respect to C++ language or Global with respect to your house or anything.

Universe: This is always one thing.

Hence Global can mean Universe when the environment is with respect to Earth and or other planets and or galaxies, etc..

Global refers to earthly matters and universal refers to whole universal and it is used when an issue gains universal acceptance. Eg: Global warming means heating of Earth
Marriage has universal acceptance.

Global is the word to be used when we refer to this world or earth
e.g. you compare something with all the similar things in the world.

Universal is something which qualifies for comparison beyond the earth

BUT...... Technically both should be the same.

Because.... No one in the earth today can claim that he knows something beyond this earth....

So he can not talk about what he does not know.

Even if he claims to know..... the people who listen to him can not claim to know something beyond this earth....

Huh.. quite confusing isn't it. Let me shake my head and clear up.

never,,,global is just confined to our globe but universe is an infinity mode of perception. universe even includes us within it but if we take global it contains a little info about universe but not the universe itself.
