Is carlos an illegal alien? If so I'm sure he'll receive free tuition on top of his pay.

Well, it is OK for this calculation purpose, but in rea life Carlos will complain to Labor Dept, if he is not paid Over time at double the rate!

8.25 hours gets him 102.30 dollars

So each hour gets him 102.30/8.25 dollars

For 14 hours he will get 14 X 102.30/8.25 = 173.60 dollars

this question is quite easy (maybe for me) :)... Here is the answer plus working....

First: divide the money by 8.25 (the number of hours) to make 1 hour = $ 12.40

Then: Multiply the one hour by 14 to make 14 hours of work... so....
$12.40 x 14 = $173.60
There is your answer

hey all you do is divide the total(102.3) by how many hours(8.25)..that gives you the hourly rate(12.4)..than you multiply that by the new amount of hours (14) and you get $173.6
