does the dishwasher heat its water for the cycle, or does it use hot water from the home's hot water heater?
just wondering, 'cause i don't want to take a cold shower!!

When dishwashers are installed, they are only connected to the hot water. Many dishwashers have an additional heater to increase the water higher than the normal hot water temperature for sanitizing the dishes. Dishwasher do not use much water at a time, so you should not have a cold shower unless your water heater is very small.

My bet is that it uses hot water from the house. Take your bath and then do the dishes.

depends on the unit that you use...it could use both or just your water heater..its a draw
