I am a disabled woman but gardening is my passion, I have not been able to get my hands in the dirt in a long time except for house plants and flower pots. Well I finaly got a mobility scooter. After 3 years being inside my house I can now go out side. I still can't stand or bend but I saw a picture of raised gardening, I think I can work in. How can I build one with VERY LITTLE MONEY. I've looked on internet and they all cost over $100.00. That would be all my grocery money. any ideas?????

I would love to build one for you. In the past I have done some free installations and other type of free landscaping for people of meager means or disability with the promise from the person that they will place and keep one of my advertising signs in their yard, by the road. My signs are fairly small at 2ft by 2ft, but are highly profitable for me when people see the work that I have done.

Maybe one of your local landscapers would also be willing to accomodate you in the same way. If not, I agree with the first responder.

Contact the Master Gardeners, a flower club, or the University Extension or the Independent Living Center and tell them your situation. I am sure there will be people happy to get you set up. Be sure to call a TV station so the group can get a little free PR for helping you out. Best of luck to you!!
