The Omen, The Grudge, The Ring, and most of the movies people are mentioning have little to no real violence or gore.They are more psychological/creepy films. Even a film like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, although it sounds really violent and gory IMO is not all that brutal. Hostel is very gory, but the movie itself is total piece of sh*t. Don't know exactly what you are looking for, but off the top of my head some best bets for disturbing content+ good plot are the Hellraiser films (the second one is particularly wicked. One scene involves a mental patient, a razor, and his plan to remove imaginary bugs from under his skin. Think about it. LOL), and the Saw trilogy (but you absolutely must see them in order or you will be very confused) and if you are in the mood for something a little more on the "funny and very entertaining, yet still severely gory" side, definetely see the uncensored version of "Dead Alive" by Peter Jackson in his pre-Lord of The Rings days. That movie has more blood in it than I have ever seen in any other film. It's a classic.

Seems like you would LOVE the " Saw " series, 1 - 3 all out on DVD now, plenty of disgusting gore and blood on them, Hostel is a good one as well but Saw of course takes the cake for the most vile, gruesome, gorey horror films out there, to add to it, its an amazing story line as well, trust me on this one, you'd love this series, this is the movie series built just for you

I think u will like "Hell raiser". U can also catch "The texas chainsaw massacre" and "Silent hill". They may not be that much blood and gore but I really liked those movies. And there is a movie I think the name is "Wax house" most probabbly that I heard is a gruesome horror movie.

The exorcist,rosemary's baby and the omen(people think the original is better,not the remake).if you want sick horror,then watch saw 1,2,3 and hostel.it's really sick.by the way,house of wax is no good,it's not even scary.oh yeah,watch the hills have eyes because it's nice and gory.
