While I am a little rusty on the Bard, I would say no. She's conniving, ruthless and unlikeable. Her total disrespect for her husband might be considered a bit of comic relief, but the real comedienne of this play is The Nurse.

No she isn't. The comic relief comes from the Nurse and Mercutio. By the way, Shakespeare is Modern English not Old English. You would not be able to understand Old English. Middle English which comes after Old English and before Modern English is difficult but Shakespeare is relatively easy to understand.

I think Juliets nurse is supposed to be the comic relief in that play...and Romeos friend, I cannot remember his name..
