bob has advice because bob HATES white people to death so bob knows how this goes, first of all these are some things bob hates
when white people come into OUR islands and OUR culture and make like they know more about it then us.
when white man comes and acts like the annexation of hawaii was a good thing, bob aint hawaiian but that still is ******* irratating.
when white man comes in and looks down on everybody here and acts like everybodys stupid and **** like that.
when white man comes and mispronounces ****, for example when white man comes and says hawaii as HA-Y-E or when they call the pali the PAL-EE and the likelike as LIKE-LIKE thats irritating.
basically white man coming here and being ignorant about ****.

as for places to live bob would suggest oahu, thats the most populated one and its more townish and whitemanish then any of the other islands. if you move on oahu go to kailua, 49 percent of the population in kailua is white so you will fit right in. places to watch out for, generally places that have hawaiian homes and or public housing cause the places with hawaiian homes have a lot of hawaiians and the hawaiians are angry and hate the world for example waimanalo has a lot of hawaiians and hawaiian homes, but bob knows white people who live there and they aint dead so you can survive there. as for public housing, bob dont think no body wants to be there no matter of skin, bob grew up in public housing and that was the ******* pitts. watch out for kalihi and china town those are like crack head central plus all the crazys and ****.

I used to live in Hawaii on Oahu. I heard rumors of hostility towards haoles, as they call white people. Never seen or experienced it though.

My husband was in the military. I seen more hostility against the soldiers than the typical white person.

There are certain areas on the island of Oahu that are just better avoided by everyone. But, most of the island is no problem.

Hawaii is very expensive. But, if you decide to relocate there, I don't think you'll have any problems just because you are white.

I lived on the west side of Maui for a few years and it was all good, thats where I would go. Occasionally white people would have problems, but usually those Hawaiians were drunk and in no way represent the essence of the Hawaiian people who are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Just remember that when your are out there, you are a Hawaiian too, so some of their cultures and ways of doing things you will have to do to. There are a lot of cool and peaceful people and if you hang out with the right people and stay out of trouble, you will not have problems. If you looking for areas, the college towns and the tourist areas are usually mixed populous. Aloha, be cool and you'll have no problems.

I am not from Hawaii, but I am an islander and white issues are not a problem w/ us islanders.... in my opinion I believe that we should respect the Americans (white) because after all Americans (white) were the ones who liberated us.... he he!! it's true, but don't worry about any racial issues.... we are all diverse, and you never hear things about islanders being racist to any other color than I guess our color... Hawaii is one of the most diverse islands around.... no worries about anything!!!

Just be yourself because today's society race does not matter!!
take care and have fun in Hawaii!!!

I think it does but if there are problems make not-white friends like Japanese people (never call a Japanese person a jap because it is a racist comment about somethings during WWII).Still be very careful to be a brah (brother ,but not literally) and not some bad driving white #$@%*.
