He wasn't gay. He was married to a woman. He seemed gay to you? He was just a very kind man who loved children. I grew up watching him, as well as Ernie Coombs (aka Mr Dressup, a good friend of Fred Rogers), and both men are examples of very wonderful people. Just because he spoke in a gentle way doesn't make him gay. Fred Rogers is a legendary man, in my opinion!

No way, I knew Fred Rodgers and he was a loving and gentle man..he communicated and cared about children..no one has a right to smear his memory..I have no problem with anyone's sexuality..you seem to imply that gay is bad..Fred was not gay, and that would not have mattered..

He was a sniper in the Marines . he certainly did't look like a big burly marine , but a gentle type of person.
There are lots of people out there that don't look like what they are or aren't. so the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover " just may apply.
We hear of many priests out there that (let's say )are questionable about being homo-sexual,and many truly aren't.

No he was not and was a true gentleman that served honorably in the US Navy as a UDT Seal. As a matter of fact he was very capable of taking apart anyone who challenged him with his training. This is a fact which is unknown to many people. He wanted to do something nice for children as that was what he always wanted to do.

No he was not. He was married an ordained minister. He had a wonderful show that my kids loved when they were little. We used to watch it together all the time.
