it wont come out! ive tried treats and stuff but it stays there and sniffs the piano!! its been there for half an hour!

place treats in a tall glass jar and prop it on somethig so that when the hamster goes in it cant climb out, make sure its sturdy and not to steep or it may injure the hamster. then leave the room and wait. it will probably come out in its own time to find food anyway, so leave the open cage on the floor

get a live trap if none of these other ideas work. if it doesn't come out soon you can't watch forever. with a live trap you can put in food or treats and no matter where it goes in your house it will eventually come to the trap out of hunger. TA DA caught hammy!!!

set his cage down with a new dish of food and treats. he's probably terrified right now. don't worry he will eventually wander into his home. just keep checking and once he is in there shut the door.

If all fails take apart the piano or something. Just the though of a dead rodent in that instrument is gross. You don't want it to die and start rotting and smelling.

Use the handle of a broom to scoot him to the edge where you can snag him.
