Our body is made up of many organic compounds and water, Water is H2O, i.e each molecule of water has two atoms of Hydrogen and 1 atom of Oxygen it it. The cooking gas which is used in stoves is mostly Methane, which is CH4, i.e. 4 atoms of Hydrogen attached to 1 atom of carbon. The Sun, our closest star and because of which we exist is largely Hydrogen, which is being converted to Helium by thermonuclear fusion and thus is producing so much energy in the process.

Sugar and other carbohydrates, proteins and fats... all contain hydrgen.

It is difficult to imagine our existence without hydrogen.
