it can to a small degree. A friend of mine went tanning once on an empty stomach and her stomach acids started to almost boil and she got nausead and weak. The manager had to pick her up and carrying her out and dress her because she was so ill. The manager told her never to tan on beds with an empty stomach because if you are there for 7 minutes or more, your stomach acid can start to '"cook". So after that she ate a piece fo fruit before she went in.

I don't know, but I know that excessive tanning is NOT good for you. I knew someone that I worked with that used to go to a tanning salon several times a week and lay in those booths. She ended up with terrible skin cancer. Her doctor told her that tanning beds should be outlawed. BE CAREFULL!!!!!
