Hey everybody. Do you think a 12 year old girl plucking her eyebrows is too early? I ask my mom, she won't let me because she thinks I'm too young but everytime I look at my eyebrows in the mirror I want to shape them so badly.. But I 'm scared at the same time because my mom always tells me about getting wrinkles when you get older and how you have to pluck them every week and all sorts of stuff.. Are they true? If not, I want to pluck them, but my mom won't let me! What do I do? They're starting to look like 2 huge caterpillars now!

I really can't tell you what to do, because at the end of the day your Mom is saying no, so I would hate to tell you to go against your mom. What I will tell you is that when I was 12 my mom took me to get my eyebrows waxed, it was her idea...I am now 25 and have not had any problem from getting my eyebrows waxed for all those years. My mom is 57 and she has been doing her eyebrows since she was in her teens, and she has not problems with wrinkles around her eyes...lets face, when you get older you are going to get wrinkles anyways...Good Luck, I can understand your wanting to pluck them.

Yah, i think you're ready. I'm 13 and started when I was 12, too. One thing you should know though, is that when u first start, go to a professional salon to get them waxed, and then just pluck stray hairs every day. I did this, and it works so much better than trying to pluck them yourself and doing terribly. Also, watch out if you have very fair skin, and ask the person doing your eyebrows if it would be better to get them plucked instead of waxed. Hope I helped!!!

Theres nuthin wrong with picking your eyebrows at 12.
And yes - ur mom isright in saying that once you start plucking them - u have to do it once in eevery 15 days - otherwise it starts looking real bad.... If you think you can't spare time to do ur eyebrows so often - i suggest you wait a year or two.
However - you DO NOT get wrinkles cuz of plucking it!

Actually it kinda hurts the first time but after a while u get used to how it feels. To lessen the pain scrub and massage lotion into them and they will be easier to pluck. It's not really age related I think its bc ur mom prolly did not pluck her brows at your age....You dont hav to pluck them evry week just once every 2 or 3... thanks for reminding me lol

haha ok well first tell her how you really feel!!! tell her that u absolutely hate them!! lol i say you arent to young because i first got my eyebrows waxed at that age!! im 15 now so ive been plucking ever since!!! hope this helps!! lataz<3

you can pluck them nothing will happen my sister had to do it when she was 11 i think, but im not going to cuz my eyebrows dont look bad. but you can do it nothing will happen except it will be red when you first do it for a couple of minutes

i think its fine. i mean it's you body. and it doesn't cause wrinkles i don't know were she came up with that bu that's false. just ask her if it would be ok if you do it once in a while. or do this. tell your mom that you want to go to a spa with her were they do nails and stuff. then ask if they can groom you eye brows. tell her you will pay. tell her it's really importent to you.~ i think it's really stupid though. you don't want to look like a caveman!

your mom might think that you want to give yourself those horrid skinny eyebrows. maybe you could tell het you just want to clean up the edges- you could even ask for her help. she might be more willing. 12 year old girls should not have to have caterpillars or unibrows. i hope your ma eases up!
