Since a 1997 Gm truck will fit 35's with only 6" of lift then you should be able to put 39's under yours.I would personally get the 38's instead.Truthfully i wouldnt get any Super Swampers for it either. The tires only last a few months with constant road use but if you are doing nothing but off-road driving they will be more than adequate.

its not a super swamper but look at Pro comp or BFGoodrich mud terrain. i have an 05 silverado with a 6" RCD suspension lift and 35" procom mud terrain. it looks awesome and does sweet off road. you could do the same size a maybe a few inches taller. go to a tire shop and they can put the tires next to your truck and give you the largest size you can fit if you want.

I have a 97gmc with a 3" body and a 2" sus. lift. I put 35"s on it and they rub like crazy so with your situation I would put 35" or 37" on it. Good lick!

the same size that came on it from the factory will fit.

it might look a little strange since you modified it.
