When my mom and me when to a MAC store, the lady paired me up with an NC45 foundation/powder and my mom a NC-44. But when I came outside, I noticed my face became a whole shade darker.. esp in comparison with my neck. I tried on my mom's foundation though and it fit perfectly but what she's using is liquid foundation. My skin isn't too bad and I dont think i need that much coverage. Are there any other MAC products which contain NC44, because from what Ive seen, they only have NC43 and NC45.

It sounds like you want a powder coverup - there are a ton of colours out there that will match your skin if that's the case. That doesn't have to be MAC. Go to your nearest Sephora and tell them you're a MAC NC44, they can find another brand to match it.

Or you can try mineral powder like Bare Escentuals..

But as far as I can see, because NC44 is a lot like NC43 and NC45, it doesn't matter with the shade difference when you use a powder. If you use a liquid, you need the exact shade - NC44. But with a powder, you can use either NC43 or NC45, because they're sheerer...
