Bridge to Terabithia was a book first, before it was a movie. It's a great book.
Leslie dies in the book. So if the movie stayed true to the characters in the book, then Leslie would also die in the movie.

Leslie Burke was such a great character. This clip is taken from wikipedia: "In the 1977 book Leslie went to school the first day wearing cut-offs and a t-shirt. In the 2007 movie, Leslie's fashions were outrageous and colorful, primarily because of the time alteration between the novel and film." She didn't care what people thought of her, and she did what she wanted.. but not in a prudent, rude way. She was very sweet and nice to people and seemed to give everyone a chance. I found her style to be somewhat bohemian/tom boy. She wore t-shirts and jeans but she seemed to have a wide range of tastes. For these types of clothes I would research bohemian style. I hope this answer helps, :]

I remember reading that book in yr 7 a few years ago and if I can remember it is because it is to get the other boy and his sister to bond more and treat terabithia with more respect since it was leslie and the boys secret place. I think :P

Because thats the way the book goes. Probably to symbolize you never know what life will throw at you, and your loved ones can be gone like that.
