All my neighbors are way older or younger than me. My friends that live nearby are usually extremely busy. Ugh.

I have the same issues. I'm in junior high too. Sucks huh?
Anyways, what I do is do my hw as soon as i get home, then when ur done call ur friends asap. do it at the begining of the week, so ur friends won't have a high chance of already having plans. Then u can reserve plans with ur friends. That's what i do.

Just for a week, don't turn your computer on. Do your homework as soon as you walk in the door from school. Go to a library or bookstore and find a book in which you are really interested. Read at least one chapter in it every night before bedtime. If you still live at home, offer to make dinner several nights a week and then wash the dishes on the other nights. Sit down and talk with your family about what you'd like to plan for your life.
That should take your mind off being bored for the week. You might even learn to like it.

You are NOT a "nerd". All that homework you doing , is going pay off one day. Look at Bill gates. He thought he was a nerd, But he is also the richest man in America. So keep up the good work. And if you do need more things to do try looking for a fun college that deal with computer graphics. Good luck.

Hang in there. You work hard at school and that's good. Believe it or not you'll thank your parents for keeping you focused. You'll hopefully go to collage, get a great career, and love life. But I know you have to have fun too. Talk to your parents about getting a new hobby. Maybe something indoors like bowling, you could join a league and make alot of new friends. As long as your doing your best at school and chores I'm sure they'd approve. Good luck!

You have to get out of your rut and find some friends.

My advice is to find a church that has an active Jr. Hi Youth Group. They will have planned activities to go to....a way to make friends...and if you try one and don't like it, try another one....until you find one where you are welcomed and feel comfortable. Usually church youth leaders will want to help you do that.

Don't be afraid to try it. You can call the church office and they will tell you what groups they have...when they meet, etc....and visitors are always welcome. And don't just try it once....b e persistent.

You are staying on your own too much. Homework is fine, but shouldn't be your whole life....and now is the time to start trying some new groups of friends.

You can also find friends where you share a mutual interest...like a sport you enjoy, a Teen Youth Club, etc...but I think a church works the best....because you will find a good group of kids who will try to welcome you.

LABELS ARE TOTALLY OLD FASHIONED!!! You shouldn't call yourself a nerd. I'm a junior higher myself.... And if this helps, you're not alone. A lot of kids like us get bored all the time. There's no real solution in boredom. If this helps, run around your house and let all your negativity out. Scream a little... :P

Smile a little and try little things that you haven't done in a while. It'll get you interested in life again.

Take up a self defense class or music lessons, anything a hobby that involves meeting other's your age.

Check out your community center and see if they have activities for your age group.

hobbies are a wonderful and rewarding pastime.
My brother glued model airplanes together, my other brother played guitar and took lessons. I sewed and such.
We each had our own individual talents and expanded them, and felt a sense of fufillment from that.

i wish you the best of luck, this too shall pass.

Your life is really going good except for the friendship issues. It's OK being considered a "nerd." That's really a compliment. . . saying you are "intelligent/" How cool is that? You will develop more friends in the future. Just be yourself and be nice to others eventually they will flock to you. Good Luck

Understand that your Education? Is the key to getting you out of any bad situation that you fell you're in. But, take it from experience. Boredom has it's rewards. Once you become an Adult? There's gonna be times, that you'll miss those days of being bored!
