what ever happened to considering another point of view?

No one is always right. Cassandra, why is it the Conservatives' responsibility to fund mothers? I thought that's what their husbands were supposed to do. Feminists want it both ways. And they are finding out that no one gets to have their cake and eat it too. When will it occur that European Socialism is not what Americans want? Regardless of your position on daycare, and feminism, the US does not want Socialism. If that is what you want, kindly go there and have it.

Pretty much for the same reason the cons think they are absolutely right, and that libs are absolutely wrong. One does, indeed, wonder what ever happened to considering the other person's point of view?

I'm a liberal and I don't believe I'm always absolutely right and the conservatives are absolutely wrong. If you'll read George Lakoff's "Moral Politics", you'll understand as to why liberals and conservatives think the way they do and why their morals are as they are. Conservatives are a part of the authoritaian parent model while liberals are a part of the nuturant parent model. After reading this book and three of his others, I can now see why conservatives think as they do, and as to why I, as a liberal, think as I do. Lakoff is a part of the Rockridge Institute. Check it out. You won't be sorry you did.

Screw both sides.

What is this loyalty to party bullsh*t. I wish someone would just come along with some balls to take what ever stands feel right and not what the majority wants and shake everyone the funk up.

Bunch of highschool dramatics.

I can't stand either side; cowards.

Afraid to stand out for issues they don't agree with others about.

Groupthink.

everyone thinks that what they believe is absolutely right.. why would you think or believe that if you didnt?

and when did everyone in this country become either a con or a lib? i think thats the real problem.. if you want to have people considering others points of view, lets not make them choose a side first

Baring witness to 25 years of destructive, anti-labor, anti-middle class--overwhelmingly Pro-Elitest legislation may have something to do with it. The fact that there is no record in the annals of history of a succesful Conservative society--is also a factor.

Enough is enough. Relevant Conservative Points of view are far and few between--specifically the ones that are backed by facts--rhetorical talking-points are not facts. The I'm offended if you think I'm wrong behavior personna tends to be misconstrued by those trying to defend the indefensible. i.e. GWB

I've considered both points of view. I've came to the conclusion libs are absolutely right, and cons are absolutely wrong.

Both sides do this. This is not limited to a "lib" condition. You do it too, I have answered some of your questions before. I have seen you attack others for having other viewpoints in spiteful ways (meaning it didn't look like you considered the other viewpoints). Personally, I don't care... I just like how either side cries about this very question like they don't do it themselves.

Now give me a negative flag!!!!

Interesting question. Bush never considered other points of view until recently, when Democrats took control of Congress, and he had no choice.

Nobody is absolutely right or wrong.

Ever thought, "WHY" they spout such arguments? Seems to me that they'd want their Platform to sell their Ideas........ Oh! That's right! They have no Platform! They can't always be right. They have no foundation of being right. Oh! I get it, NOT!

Why don't YOU try looking at things from a lib point of view!?

Cons don't care for anything but themselves and their money.
