Yes, but that's not always the case. Cancers and Caps are both cardinal signs so they'll both want the upper hand in the relationship. They'll have to work it out. I mention that you are noticing polar opposites on the zodiac wheel. Those aren't the only opposites though. Some really good examples of TOTAL opposites are Scorpios and Aquarius (never works), Taurus and Leos (sometimes), Cancers and Saggitarius (ehh) and Aries and Virgo (works for me). Then again you HAVE to know the people's ascendant and moon sign to match true compatability. Here: alabe.com. You can do it there, plus it explains what the positions actually mean.

And WHAT about the rest of the chart apart from the Sun signs..moon..mars.venus..all the aspects..
You have to have a close look at charts. No either/or from me answer.

it goes alot deeper than just your sun sign
someone might seem to have an opposite sign but when you look at their whole chart they no longer appear opposite

"Opposite" signs doesn't necessarily mean "OPPOSITION" signs. Opposite signs simply refers to signs that are on opposite ends of something, not opposed to something. So, relax, find the passion, find your self-expression and let fate take its course.
