My 7 month old daughter is just starting on more solid foods, she meets the "Are they ready" requirements on the bottle of these(

There's not really a serving suggestion and I wouldn't substitute a meal/bottle with them either... but I don't know how I should limit her on these. Any suggestions/knowledge?

As long as she's getting a healthy, balanced diet, there's really no harm in giving her the "yum yums" a few times throughout the day. My daughter is partial to the Gerber Lil Puffs. I'll let her have some (a handful or 2) as a mid morning snack and again after her afternoon nap. If she gets hungry before dinner, she can have more, though not as much as the other times. I know what you mean when you say you want to give them to her all the time--they look so cute and happy while they're eating them! And you get to be the hero!

I am not sure what kind of finger foods your giving her. If its like cheerios and crackers then thats fine and I would continue feeding her her usual bottles as well as her cereal/jars of food in addition to that. Finger foods are not really very heavy and mainly just hold her over between meals as well as they are good practice for her motor skills and coordination. My daughter is almost one year old and I still give her jarred foods at least in one meal daily or in the case that I don't think she'll want to eat what's for dinner. I think its fine to give her snacks throughout the day as long as they aren't loaded in sugar or anything that will be hard for her stomach to digest or may cause her to get constipated.

During a meal when giving her jars of food, offer four or five small pieces of crackers or cheerios/fruit. If she starts cramming them in her mouth too fast then remove some of the pieces so that she can learn to pace herself a little. I do this and once she has eaten all the pieces I give her a few more here and there but by the time I open the fruit jar, she knows she won't get many more finger snacks. Its how I do it and may not be perfect with yours but it won't hurt to try it. Also keep in mind that putting too much on her tray can give her the chance to start throwing her food and making messes which is ok but shouldnt be a daily thing unless you have a maid 24/7. Best of luck!

My daughter loved those too and would've eaten them for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I would've let her. I just gave them to her as a snack between meals as long as she was eating well. And I gave her a good amount if she was hungry, but usually no more than two or three times. Like as a mid-morning and afternoon snack. If she was still hungry after a good portion of those then I would give her some more filling real food. I guess I would call a good portion two handfuls maybe. And then I put the container up so she wouldn't beg for more too much.

is she is still eating her meals and she isn't eating the finger food instead of a whole meal or as long as she is getting the required food groups through out the week they break it down into how many they need over a week for small children then i wouldn't limit her at all its a new thing therefore exciting she'll get over it and before the age of 2 they need all the fats they can get after 2 i might worry if she just eats all the time but believe me you won't have to worry their appitite slows down and you'll be begging her to eat lol around 18 months -2 yrs they will eat like a little bird

As long as she wants them and she is still eating other foods and drinking pleny of formula its ok to let her eat them! I keep a small bowl for my son (21mos) on the stand so he can eat them when he is hungry and he still eats at meal times as well. these are healthy snacks and better than cookies.
I hope i helped! I do dump it out after awhile and give him fresh but most of the time he eats it before i have to do that!

If she is keeping it down without spitting up or throwing up, keep feeding it to her until she losses intrest in it and is more exited in solid food that you eat. Than start giving her Lil' Entree's by Gerber.
