I have heard of Beatrix Potter, and of course, I have read her children's books about Peter Rabbit (I am 17). She's a very famous British woman for her novels, and had a very interesting life. I think there's a biographical movie coming out soon about her.
Anyway, if you are doing this for an oral, you should probably go as indepth as possible about her life. Starting with her birth, talking about her family, and then her achievements as a children's author with her most famous series. I doubt many of your classmates know a lot about this woman.

I am 32 years old and still have my Beatrix Potter collection from childhood. She is an author of children's books including Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Jeremy Fisher, The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin to name a few. You can buy children's keepsake dishes with illustrations of her work on them. They're very expensive and made of china. A popular, high-end baby gift.

Aside from writing the " Peter Rabbit " series of stories, she was a expert on fungi. Only the times prevented her from advancing in science, though some of her papers were presented to the Linnaein Society, by her uncle. I am 57.
